Abstract

This paper investigates sustainable agricultural practices and their role in climate change adaptation in rural areas of Turkey and Pakistan. Given the growing concerns surrounding climate change impacts on rural communities, particularly in the agricultural sector, this study explores the relationship between sustainable agricultural practices and climate resilience. The paper outlines key agricultural practices, such as organic farming, water management, and climate-smart agriculture, and assesses their effectiveness in enhancing resilience to climate change. The study adopts a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both qualitative interviews with local farmers and quantitative surveys to analyse the effectiveness of these practices in improving agricultural productivity and sustainability. Policy recommendations are provided to support the adoption of sustainable practices, focusing on the need for government intervention, education, and community-based initiatives. The findings emphasize the importance of integrating climate change adaptation strategies into agricultural policies for long-term rural development.
